(Sharecast News) - Forgent said on Monday that assay results from its maiden field programme at the Green Rocks copper-gold project in Western Australia had confirmed high-grade surface mineralisation, with copper grades of up to 29.4% and gold grades of up to 4.8 grams per tonne.
The AIM-traded energy transition company said 110 samples were assayed from the April programme, with 22 returning more than 5% copper and 25 returning more than 0.3 grams per tonne of gold.

Forgent said the results validated historic sampling, extended the known extent of outcropping mineralisation in multiple directions and identified several undrilled high-grade prospects.

"Grade is one of the key drivers of exploration success and this maiden field programme has confirmed exceptional copper and gold grades at Green Rocks," said chief executive James Parsons.

He added that the next step would be to drill test the outcropping zones along strike, alongside heritage surveys and submission of a programme of work to Western Australia's Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration.

At 1347 BST, shares in Forgent were up 5.29% at 0.02p.
