Eurozone economic sentiment picks up in October

(Sharecast News) - Eurozone economic sentiment picked up in October, according to a survey released on Tuhrsday by the European Commission.
The EC's economic sentiment indicator for the bloc rose 1.2 points to 96.8. The indicator for the European Union edged up one point to 96.7.

The employment expectations indicator ticked 0.4 points higher for the eurozone to 96.9 and 0.6 points higher for the EU to 97.7 in October.

The EC noted that both indicators continue to score below their long-term average of 100.
